Shipper portal with a live shipment map
A freight forwarder works with hundreds of companies in four countries. Clients call for status updates, managers forward documents by hand and invoices get lost in email.
1 window
instead of calls, email and spreadsheets for every shipment
- countries served

- roles, from accountant to logistician
- 6

Studio concept project: how we would solve this task. Not a client engagement — brand names are fictional.
Solution
A portal where clients track cargo on a map, download documents (CMR, invoices, declarations) and pay invoices. Statuses flow in automatically from the TMS and carriers.
Before
Status by phone, documents by email, invoices in Excel. Every shipment costs 20 minutes of back-and-forth.
Three decisions behind the result
The map as the home screen
Clients open the portal and immediately see where the cargo is and when it arrives. ETA is recalculated from carrier GPS data.
Documents next to the cargo
CMR, invoice and declaration are attached to the shipment, not buried in an inbox. One-click download.
Invoices in USD
Invoices are issued in USD, with clear payment milestones and an international payment integration.
After
A calm business interface: map, shipment timeline and document table. Everything that needs the client's action is highlighted in orange.
Outcome
Status, documents and payment in one window; managers handle exceptions instead of forwarding files.
